Experimental Brand Marketing Manager, Brand Strategy
Kelly Smith is the Experimental Brand Marketing Manager of Brand Strategy for the online retailer, Zappos.com. Driven with a customer-focused mindset and systemic thinking, she leads a team of brand strategists and creatives whose focus is to create unique, story-worthy movements that contribute to the longevity of the Zappos brand.
In the summer of 2016, Zappos launched the #ImNotABox campaign with the powerful video ad, Box Home, and a limited edition box redesign. The combination of the two successfully inspired customers, paving a new path to build engagement and loyalty for Zappos. The kick-off garnered over 131 million impressions and 30+ articles in the press within the first week of the campaign launch followed by a streak of awards and recognition from Adweek, Shortys for Social Good, Creativity International, PR News, the Webbys, Ace Metrix, and more.
Prior to Zappos, she worked as a leader in the nonprofit industry for both Habitat for Humanity and Shared Hope International. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) with an emphasis in the Institute of Philanthropy and Voluntary Service from Georgetown University.
